Pot Limit Omaha players in Ireland can chalk off 4th to 7th March 2010 in their poker calendar, as the three-day Irish Omaha Championship has been announced to take place in comfortable Eglinton casino in Galway, Ireland on those dates.
Other events include a 1K, 16 players max heads-up tournament, and ror all of the No Limit Holdem Poker junkies, two hold’em side events will be on offer, with smallish buyins of €150 and €250.
Irish poker player Padraig Parkinson observed that “the Irish poker calendar has been crying out for an event like this.”No doubt the event will draw crowds, as Pot Limit Omaha is becoming the most popular poker game in Europe, and Ireland is catching on quickly.
